Speakers will also engage in a candid discussion about where the biggest bottlenecks lie in advancing real-world implementation, and what each member organization, fellow signatories, and the IDFI ecosystem as a whole are expected to contribute toward solving them.

[Regional Finance Working Group Session] Approaches to Regional Systems Change and the Concept of Systems Change Finance
Addressing the challenges arising from population decline and industrial contraction, engagement with regional structural transformation (systems change) is a management imperative for regional financial institutions seeking to protect their lending and investment base. With support from PwC, the Regional Finance Working Group has compiled a draft report outlining how to engage with "leverage points" that trigger systems change, and the practical process for a new approach to finance centered on blended finance (Systems Change Finance). This session will introduce those findings and bring in local practitioners to discuss how financial institutions and other actors can collaborate and operate in practice going forward.

How are asset owners integrating impact into their portfolios? Welcoming Temasek, one of the world’s leading asset owners, this session brings together major Japanese institutional investors — Norinchukin Bank and the Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Group — to discuss the practicalities and challenges of impact-driven capital allocation.
